New LBP: Love it or Hate it!

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

I suspect Ron will be taking a whole batch down for proof so who knows.

I’m not in a rush, I’ve got a 1911 to play with at the moment.

Has anyone seen the walther gold cup 1911 that Oceania defence have?

Handled the Gold Cup myself today and have to admit I'm seriously impressed! They are so much lighter and sleeker than the gsg - this is a thing of big importance for me in what I want out of an lbp. I was also surprised at how thinner the fake suppressor was, and of course there's no counter weight on the end of the rod either. All the things necessary to make it Sec 1 legal on the UK mainland felt very unobtrusive (as much as is possible), and the whole pistol didn't feel a million miles off a normal .22 imo. Pretty sure I'm going to make a move on one now. Also liked the PPQ for many of the same reasons but the price is too much for me...

I owned a Walther gold cup 1911, nothing bad to say abut it reliable accurate, it is what it is a cheap pinker. The price at Oceania defence is not bad compared with some LBPs, a new one is around £475.
