A particular barrel....

#1 Post by Sim G »

I’m considering a re-barrel of my RPA. I’m after a 6.5, 1 in 8” twist, 5r rifling, fluted in a Palma-esq profile (original RPA)

I was hoping to go Sassen as they’re Brit and I can’t get an answer to the emails. So, anyone aware if Sassen do such a thing or where I could get such a requirement?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Whats that in inches....??

You could have a look at David Crispin's website https://crispinengineering.co.uk/index. ... tock-list/

He has some Krieger .256/.264 barrels in stock in "MTU" profile, whatever that is..., and if he hasn't got one in stock, he can get them from Sassen, but its a 8-10 week wait apparently.

They normally reply to emails. Yes they will do it and also produce cut rifled barrels as well as button, in fact I think I had one of the very first produced.
