Maximum Scope Rail Elevation

Can anyone tell me what the largest built-in scope rail elevation I can fit, yet still obtain a zero at 100 yards?
My scope has 50MoA of elevation adjustment. I want to shoot it out to 1000 - 1200 yards and I normally use the GGG 155gn ammunition which departs with an mv of about 2720 from my rifle.
Even with a 20MoA rail fitted to the rifle, I've run out of elevation adjustment and have to aim-off using the reticule. This isn't ideal as the rifle is used by Club novices and telling them which particular hash mark on the reticule to use is a little complex.
My solution is to fit Burris Signature rings and add some additional elevation using the offset inserts they provide. Question is how much offset to use - it's possible to add 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 40 MOA of cant in the scope mount in addition to the 20MoA on the scope rail. But I'd like to still get a 100 yard zero for the rifle as well.
All the different geometries and permutations do my head in!
