New straight-pull AK variant on the market

#1 Post by snayperskaya »

Found this just now......

http://www.rusmilitary.com/html/firearms_m05.htm

If it is half as good as the original M70 it will be a nicely built accurate rifle. The M70 didn't have the chrome-lined barrel commonly found on most other AK variants which gave them better accuracy compared to most, although it did make thorough cleaning more important when using corrosive Berdan-primed military ammunition.

Oh this puts me into a bind!

I almost dropped money this month to buy a WS 1.64 but held off for various unrelated reasons. Zastava make some of the best AK variants in the world, problem is I don't want the plastic fantastic foregrip and side fold stock. I REALLY wanted the classic wood look! This puts me in a bind, do I go for the look I want or the better made gun .....uggghhhh!

If Oleg could get in some Zastava with the classic wood I would personally bite my arm off!

To be honest I also prefer the more traditional wooden furniture, and don't be put off the Romanian.....I've had mine nearly 6 years and love it but I just had to "Soviet-ise" it as the blonde Romanian hardwood furniture doesn't compare to Soviet laminated Birch.
