hawke endurance 223/308 is a good scope for varminting, you zero for 100 yards and the distances are on the reticle/glass out to 600 yards.
So far I have found mine very much spot on thus no need for tactical turrets (on Tikka T3 in 223)

Nikon P223 4-12x40SF BDC 600 or 3-9x40SF BDC 600. as an alternative, the slightly more expensive M version. The M series are supposedly built with slightly better glass, but I own both and honestly cannot see any difference.

Bear in mind that any scope with a BDC assumes a certain bullet mass and velocity.

I have a Sightron S-Tac 1-7x24 on my AR, the glass is fantastic and doesn’t have a BDC type reticule so not stuck on that score mine is Milrad adjustments and milrad reticule so nice and easy to use.

There's a great Nikon app on their web-site (and available through Google Play) that can customise the Bullet Drop values for pretty much any round you may be using. http://spoton.nikonsportoptics.com/spot ... on.html#:6
