Never saw one myself, though there is an AICS chassis for 5.56 - but that's not really an AE is it :run: .

The magazine is for the AICS, they don't currently built a .223/5.56mm rifle and I don't think they ever have.

Fair point, shows the power of the name - when they say "Accuracy International" one immediately thinks of the real thing. Maybe they should be saying AICS on the .223 magazine advert?

I am sure Geek will let us know what the outcome is.

Response received today from Sporting Services, as follows:

"We do not believe Accuracy have ever made a rifle in .223"

Nothing specific, just asked the question.

Others in the above post thought so too, since there are .223/5.56mm magazines on a few websites: come to the conclusion that these are for AICS stocks.

Sorry if that sounded blunt, I'm still in work mode. I meant would you have preferred an AI in .223/5.56 rather than 7.62/.308 or some other caliber? If so how come?
