Aye certainly looks like more NRA high ups getting their snouts in the trough again.

"What is the point of having power if you can't abuse it"

Its not just the membership that is paying him his bankers fees but the poor front line staff that he sacked.

Who authorised his appointment and remuneration package anyway?

How do they get held to account?

What is his day job and credentials for this role?

Concerning the appointment of a chief executive this is what we were told at the BGM(?) on the 18th of July.

"Chairman
Yes, we have completed interviewing and have a preferred candidate and we are going through the
process of taking references and negotiating a package with him. So in due course I had hoped that
it might have been today but it isn’t. It will be some time in the not too distant future that I hope we
can make an announcement."

That was over a month ago, in the not too distant past.

It is definitely not good practice to have someone who is a trustee as the paid chief exec (even on a temporary basis) for so long. Poor accountability, lack of proper tension, conflict of interest, I could go on.

You never feel that the NRA can work up a sense of urgency over anything.
