England Team to South Africa 2013
I am delighted that the English XX Club council have awarded me the honour of captaining the England team touring to South Africa in April 2013. James Lewis (GM) has accepted my request to be Vice-Captain. In the current times of austerity and mindful of people's holiday time, we plan to keep the tour to a minimum duration (no longer than 2 weeks) and cost although individuals could obviously extend their stay as they wish. We are looking to take a team that will contain a substantial amount of youth and energy but clearly our priority is to win the Protea Match whilst enjoying the tour and so we will look to include a seasoned core of experienced caps. We will welcome recommendations and nominations from County captains for some of these up and coming stars of the future. Please email me with contact details and if we currently may not know you, a photo, by the beginning of the Imperial Meeting. We hope to pick the team shortly after that and announce it in August.

Surrey Police Firearms Licensing
From September, Surrey Police Firearms licensing will be converting to a paperless office. This will involve scanning the contents of some 13000 files and running the paper-based and paperless systems in parallel. There are likely to be delays to their service for about 6 months. If your FAC is due for renewal in Surrey between September 2012 and about March 2013, please allow plenty of time for your application to be processed.
