Potential Open Day sites - May 2012

The NRA are looking at putting on additional Open Days around the country on an annual but possibly rotating basis. To be able to do this we need to find suitable ranges/accommodation and are looking firstly to our affiliated clubs and associations to help with the initial search.

What is required?

Near a large town or city away from Bisley and the surrounding areas
Ranges can offer shooting from air to 308 but not necessarily long distance, so 10 - 100/200 yards would be fine
Range bookings that aren’t going to be cancelled once confirmed
Armoury to store around 20 rifles plus black powder pistols and associated ammunition
Parking – lots of parking
Disabled access
Club room or similar with mains electricity for registration, first aid point etc
Good access
Toilet facilities or space for portaloos
Volunteers – lots of volunteers! Although we can recruit from other clubs around.
