Just had my membership renewal through and was very pleased with the new insurance deal they've arranged with Endsleigh. goodjob

Apart from the usual public liability cover, legal cover for loss of FAC etc. there is £10k for loss or theft of firearms.

And they'll even pay out if you go deaf in both ears. :o

Is that for when they're lodged in the NRA armoury...?

I was concerned that the leaflet didn't mention insurance when hunting and so queried both the NRA and Endsleigh.

Although I got a completely useless response from the NRA itself, referring me to the insurers when I'd have expected them to know what terms were in place, Endsleigh replied. They confirmed that the NRA policy includes insurance for hunting and various other activities on private land:
I can confirm that your insurance will cover you for shooting on private land as long as the activity being undertaken is recognised by the NRA

Recognised activities by the NRA are:

- Target and Full Bore Target Shooting
- Field Sports
- Vermin Shooting
- The use of miniature cannons including and loading of ammunition
- The use of black powder
- Coaching/teaching/instructing
- Fundraising/administrative activities/competitions

I trust you find the above to be in order but please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries.

Many thanks

Laura
