I read in the last NRA journal that the investigation into the Krag was awaiting the metallurgy results.

Off the record, the Police and Club officials don't suspect there was anything wrong with the Rifle.

Quite simply, the Shooter was suspended because nobody feels comfortable shooting along side him.

Don't own a Krag, but would have no hesitation, personally, in buying or shooting one.IMHO

According to Photo, Chamber disintegrated Bolt stayed in place Barrel seemed undamaged but separated from action.

Just my own observations from viewing Photo.

Shooter had eye damage, (not permanent), shooter next to him had head wound and onlooker behind still has metal imbedded in his arm.
