BASC new car deals

#1 Post by Airbrush »

Have any BASC members taken advantage of the deals they offer?

I have not used any of the deals, but it is worth just asking what deals a dealer can do before mentioning the BASC. You could find that you get the same or better.

I have. 10% off a Subaru Forester, really easy - toddle down to local dealer, say 'BASC' - expect blank look, but get yes, 10% off, just need your number. And it was 10% off ex-VAT price, and then re-calc the VAT on the new price, so a very fair offer. Finance on that was fine too (unlike Toyota, who said no problem on the discount and proceeded to try to screw me on the finance). Wife now has Subaru Forester on the driveway and ear-to-ear grin. Job done :)

Got 12% off new Skoda Octavia Scout and good trade in from local Skoda dealer.

Skoda is not in the BASC scheme though.

So definately worth asking dealer directly as well as looking at the BASC deals.

Anyone know if you can get discount (BASC or otherwise) on lease vehicles? Quite fancy a new HiLux or Navara...

For commercial, yes there are adverts in the BASC magazine. Not sure on private mind.
