Firearms UK

#1 Post by dromia »

A new firearms online campaign.

Follow this link to check it out: http://firearmsuk.org/?blogsub=confirming

From the web site:

" Firearms UK is an online campaign aiming to protect gun ownership in the UK and to encourage unity and positive action within the shooting community.

Our website aims to provide a repertoire of news and information and to serve as an aide memoir for educating those on the fringes of our communities, such as friends and family members who are less knowledgeable about firearms and their use within the UK. Alongside this effort we intend to work towards increasing unity, support and cooperation within the shooting and hunting communities, and where necessary campaign to protect those communities and their associated rights. Hey nice to see them using one of my photos on their front page - anyone know who is running the site?

Not wanting to cause any trouble but would be interested in how they got hold of it?

Am I being thick as I can't see an email address and don't really want to put it on Twitter or Facebook?

Just really would love to know how they got the photo - its the "Beginner event at Bisley" one (which was specially photoshopped to remove RAFTRC from the rifle rest) taken in about 2002 at a corporate day. It has been used a few times by NRA but I might be a bit peeved if the NRA have passed it on without asking. That said I don't have a problem with it being on the site (although I can't speak for the people in the pic).
