M&P 15-22 for Lefties?

#1 Post by MrD »

Hi

sadly my Anschutz MXR cannot be repaired. I have been offered a S&W 15-22 Sport as a replacement (once it has been checked). The MXR was excellent off my left shoulder, is the S&W as easy or do you get cases in the face?
Also, is it worth paying the bit extra for the MOE version?

Cheers

The 15-22 is good for lefties a whole range of Ambi parts are available.

The Next Level Ambi charging handle I've got is around £70 on it's own!

I shoot leftie, no issues, ambi mag release and ambi safety needed though of course.

Cheers Guys
decided on the Sport rather than pay extra for stuff I might not like/need. Can put the money into the ambi-friendly bits - as well as having to replace my mags

Best way, we fit Hogue grips and stocks as well, much nicer than Magpul

You might be able to get a case deflector for it.

So far I have put almost 400 rounds through it and not noticed an issue with cases in the face! I do miss the more solid feel of the Anschutz but am getting used to it. Have ordered an ambi safety and mag release as well as a fatter Hogue grip. Standard bolt-release is simple to use with my trigger finger and although it would be nice to replace the charging handle, I feel I could spend the cash on ammo instead!
