Sadly this has been abandoned due to the barrel length issue.

There are emails to the Croatians about a longer version but having learnt a bit more about the manufacturer I’m not sure it’s a company we will get good results from.

Abandoned for now!

There are a few AK's in 5.56. Wonder if it would work with them?

I wonder if they'd consider making a 12" version for the UK market... Might be worth an enquiry. You'd think it's very little extra work.

I think the problem would be getting a 12" barrel sleeve into the existing 7.62x39 chamber and clearing the receiver internals in order for the conversion kit to physically fit.

Is it worth looking into whether this conversion will actually function as a firearm in it's own right and actually fire without being fitted into an AK or whether it does actually have to be fitted into a suitable rifle in order to function as intended.

If it will only function in a suitable rifle then I would simply be a conversion kit would it not?.

I have seen barrelled .22lr conversions for Mauser K98's sold as Sec1 items, or is that different as they are bolt action?.

The action should not be relevant. It’s all about length of barrel, how long are the k98 ones?
