Sig 522 questions
I have the urge once again to get a Sig 522 swat but before I start looking seriously I need to know a few things.
Do these take AR 15 mags?
Is the barrel solid or shrouded?
Can the bird cage be removed to fit a Mod?
Are the polymer lowers reliable? eg: not prone to breakage at the pin points etc
Can an adjustable buffer tube type stock (AR) be fitted and still keep the folding facility?
Thanks folks

Re: Sig 522 questions
The SIG mags are the same as the (Ciener IIRC) AR mags. Black Dog mags work just fine.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

Re: Sig 522 questions
I have 22ARs built with both the M261 insert and with the Ciener/Aitchison insert and Black Dog mags for both. My Sig takes one of these types of mag and I'm pretty sure it's not the M261 version (though I could be wrong).

Re: Sig 522 questions
I’m working on getting Smith and Wesson 15/22 mags working with these rifles, I think it just needs some material removing from the top of the mags.
Will post back if I get it working.
