Forum rules
Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

The Scotsgun Ruling:

>Add Gun Shop here<

"As I've yet to have a 'positive' experience there, I'll refrain from commenting further."

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!

Crispin Engineering

#1 Post by Pete »

Gave my Crispin re-barrelled 6x47 RPA it's inaugural run this morning...................after two shots to get on the paper at 600yds, the next five grouped approx 1 MOA (estimated on the monitor), and I haven't yet decided what powder I'm going to use. (This was 34 grains RS50 behind 115grain boronised DTAC's, at 2714fps).

This is the second rifle Dave Crispin has done for us using Bergara 28" blanks supplied by myself.(the first was a Savage F/TR 6.5x47, with a similar quality result.)
His workmanship is impeccable...........plus, he lives a stone's throw from Bisley, so no outrageous shipping/RFD fees. He also stocks the RS powders at good prices.

He gets top marks for marks for coffees and friendly conversation!
He will be doing my next barrel at the end of this coming season.

Its a busy little industrial unit, with a few interesting projects on the go.

I too have had some work done by David. Top man! Quick and reasonable. Added bonus is he is a top TR shot and really knows his stuff re loads, chambers etc. Plus supplies RS powders and Murom primers!

I've had 2 barrels from Crispin Engineering in recent years, both have been excellent. David is always a pleasure to work with, and great to discuss even my quirkier ideas with.

Great results, and good turnaround times too!
