Suggested factory ammo

#1 Post by adamsinfield »

Hi there,

I am new to long range target shooting and am heading down to Warminster to shoot 1000 yards this week. I have been a couple of times but am looking for people’s opinions on the best factory ammo to use? I have bought a Tikka T3x TAC A1 in .308. I know home loads are often better (am about to start this to!) and that this is close to the (sensible) limit for .308 but any guidance / tips would be welcome!

Thanks all

make a good range of ammo in various bullet weights, the brass is excellent for reloading at a later date.
