A lot more than you Dromia! I can see I will be spending a happy couple of hours pulling the thing apart to get it through the house.

Crikey that looks like it could be fun sorting out :G

Never having done any metal work since school (1960) and had never done any lathe-work with metal at all untill I bought a small machine last year.

I managed to reduce a fair amount of stock to scrap then eventually produced some firing pins for my 45/70.

So far they have worked out at about seventy five quid each!

Not happy with that I bought a clark milling machine so that I can produce scrap horizontally and vertically!

Once I couldn't even spell enganear, now I is going to be one.

I am not even going to add up what the bits Ovenpaa has made have cost.

I have to remind myself (often!) that they are all bespoke and as such cannot be bought in the real world.
At least that is what I tell myself.

Christel,

Each major purchase means that Viv gets another Radley bag.

My new gun, I'm told, equals at least two Radley bags!

Minor purchases usually equal a good dinner somewhere or a vist to Penhalligan's for another bottle of smelly!

I'm so hard done by :(

In this house there is none of that.

I buy him whatever he wants (money permitted) and I buy myself whatever I want (money permitted)
So I am in charge regardless.

Easy peasy O:-)

We are the same, although we do have two bank accounts. The joint one and Viv's! :D

In fairness I don't have a problem and have always got what I wanted - gun wise

I will say publicly that Viv has never complained about the squillions I have spent on my shooting and I have absolutely no probelm with the money Viv spands on 'women's stuff'

In over forty years of marriage I have always had the best of it without doubt.

I do iron my own shirts 'though - by choice.

After all, there hasn't the woman been born who knows how to iron a shirt properly; has there? O:-)
