You saying that, Ovenpaa's son taught me to iron a shirt about 10 years ago and I am still not as good as him.
He was about 18 at the time.

An old Chief taught me when I joined the Navy in 1960.

Hawke 92 class 35 recruitment.

Nobby Hall and Nooby Clarke were our instructors

Tuesday October 11th 1960.

Is that me, number two, front rank?

What's this got to do with lathes and stuff?

Sorry guys - my fault.

I'm bored again!

Crikey it was heavy!!! Luckily Ex-skydiver of this forum was at hand to help get it down to the shed and in place. It is now bolted down and de-greased, I have run it up and everything looks good apart from they have sent me a mill with metric dials instead of imperial.

Pah!

No matter, I am not unbolting it and sending it back now and I can work in metric OK, it is just a faff working with imperial dials on the Lathe and then swapping to metric with the mill. I will post some pictures when I get a moment and no doubt make some swarf this weekend finishing the butt plate off.
