Prefer a bit of comfort these days.

Amazing how many of us pulled A series and X Flow lumps apart, I used to be able to pull a Mini engine and gearbox out in 30 minutes and happily pick a wheel up on corners. They look lethal to me these days.

I went Jap for a few years with a Nissan Fairlady Z/300ZX twin-turbo, it ended up with 500bhp at the back wheels......one car I truly miss!.

I still have a Gunson colourtune, strobe light and dwell meter on a shelf in the garage. The AF spanners are from the time when British cars were Imperial, the AF spanners are still useful as Lee dies being American are still Imperial sized.

And it's not just cars, my scooter has electronic fuel injection and ABS so there's no way to tinker with that.

I've still got my Whitworth spanners that I used on my 1940 BSA WDM20 motorcycle that I owned back in the 1990's.

In fact my metric tools have been very little used, as I only used to add AF tools to the tool box for use on my Harley's, and will continue to use on my 1932 Ford.

Built like tanks - took a great amount of abuse on rallies....and 100% reliable...even in near bog standard trim! PLUS: you could always find spares lying at the side of the road in a ditch lol lol :run:
