Yes, next step will be to limit possession of tyres. And engines. And gearboxes. Well, you might put them all together with the intention of speeding, or parking illegally, or having a defective brake light, or cutting the corner at a T junction, or emitting a bit too much CO2, or some other equally horrific crime. You can't be trusted.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Under-18s will be BANNED from shooting air guns without an adult under new plans after the weapons killed 12 young teenagers in 15 years
kukkuk kukkuk kukkuk kukkuk

Bloody nonsensical, stupid kids with equally stupid parents will still be around. No law will ever stop stupidity! There's only FOUR simple rules to remeber..but hey...let's make a new law when it's not needed and totally bloody pointlesss! troutslapping troutslapping wallhead wallhead wallhead

There are more important things to worry about right now.

At any rate, "live in" and new boyfriends / Girlfriends and jealous ex's of both sexes kill way more kids than airguns, and they do it deliberately. Smart motorways kill and yet they're planning more of them.

As usual, the rags cannot understand there is no such thing as an "accidental discharge" (except when these stupid scrotes were conceived perhaps) Pull the trigger, guns fire..simple.

Maybe they should have a word with TV and movie producers who ALWAYS show irresponsoble gun handling - mainly fingers on triggers! Blame them for these mishaps!

FUnny how government and gutter journalists hounded almost all airgun clubs out of existence!

working on it.

If every National Organisation asked their members to respond - and to assist other shooters such that people who only have (and care about) air rifles also respond appropriately on the other aspects, then a 20% turn out would overwhelm the goverment system.

It needs a concerted effort by all organisations - writing monthly to their members, and maybe one organisation in te first week, another in the second week, ... so those who are members of more than one get continual reminders.

100% Yes. :good:

Don't bother relying upon your shooting organisation to respond, that doesn't work. Every shooter should respond to this so called "consultation" which is mainly just another attack on shooting sports.

Reading through the Firearms Safety Consultation Paper...on page 8 it is noted that a new section has already been added to the Firearms Act of 1968 to anticipate the outcome of the consultation.

I find that disturbing.
