Yes, thank you for that. The image has only just got to me and the first job will be to put it onto CAD as a 3D model so I can get a better feeling for what I am dealing with and confirm the dimesnions of the lump of steel I need. The original was malleable cast iron however for a prototype steel of even brass would work.

Excellent, and brass sounds like a good idea.Ovenpaa wrote:Yes, thank you for that. 3D CAD modelling was what I used to do for a living in days gone by

A 3D model tells me so many things and I can use it for fixture details as well.

....and Ta Da!
Exactly as the drawing showed way back in 1941 and dare I say, the first dimensionally correct replica to be built ever since.

I will bung something in a separate post :)
Re: No32 Mk1, have you ever seen one onother than on a 4(T)?
Yes, pretty sure I seen one on a car boot table many years ago!
It was in Inverness. I seen the scope on a table with some other fishing things but did not think much about it. About 5 minutes later I thought it looked like an old 32 scope so I went back to the table but it was gone.
I said to the seller about the scope . He said it was his dads and had been in the garage for years. His dad did a bit of shooting with " old rifles " he said. The seller did not know anything about the scopebut he sold it for the asking price of £25.
