Technically you will be in possession of a free pass for meal, bed and breakfast for five years, so probably best to advise the police or drop it off at your local S5 dealer who is already planning his next holiday based on his Section 7.3 sales forecast for 2021....

So, they are removing these calibre's from S58 to stop them falling into criminal hands.... and at the same time adding a load of other calibre's. What is their justification for adding more? Not that I'm complaining... just curious.

Re: Section 58 restrictions
It seems like there will be no compensation offered as there is the offer to apply to hold them on FAC.
We've seen this before with the Brocock fiasco.
Future purchases of these revolvers may be possible under section 7.1 and 7.3 but be prepared to write long essays on early cartridge revolvers to justify that you are a genuine collector.

Re: Section 58 restrictions
The document states that if you have one of these you can apply for an FAC or add it to an existing FAC without having to provide good reason. The big downside is that these guns will likely take a big drop in value after they are on ticket.

So if you had a revolver in 44 Russian for example who would even know. It's currently not a licensable item.Ovenpaa wrote:Technically you will be in possession of a free pass for meal, bed and breakfast for five years, so probably best to advise the police or drop it off at your local S5 dealer who is already planning his next holiday based on his Section 7.3 sales forecast for 2021....

Re: Section 58 restrictions
no one, but if it gets found in the future in your possession and it is not on your FAC, you'd be charged for possession of a sec5Alpha1 wrote:So if you had a revolver in 44 Russian for example who would even know. Re: Section 58 restrictions
it says you will be able to add it to your FAC without a need. but unclear if its like brocock or sec 7.1m either way, both need to live in your cabinet.mag41uk wrote:Moving forward what will happen if you are the currently legitimate holder of one of the revolvers?
