I've got a slightly better quality scope and one of the Targetmaster camera's. How much would it cost to 'print' me one of your adaptors? The eyepiece is 49.5mm diameter . . call it 50mm plus a bit of tape.
Happy to provide feedback and/or meet up at Bisley for a trial if that suits.

Just designing a new fitting - I'm sure we can sort something out.

As usual any lack of standardisation in scope eyepieces is going to be an issue. 8-)

My Kowa eyepiece is 1.249".

I think I'll call that 1 1/4" in old money. :)

This has got me thinking.

I have an Opticron field scope, bought in the 1990s and never been used. It has a straight eyepiece which makes it less than ideal for spotting but with a camera attached ...

The eyepiece is 1.25" diameter, so if you're going to be making some adapters please could I order one?

Well I don't have a 3D printer but I do have copious amounts of 35mm film containers, so with a scalpel, dividers, razor saw and a micrometer lots of shoogling and swearing, mainly because of the need for glasses and no glasses I rigged up my camera to my scope.

What was coming up on the PC screen, £30 7" tablet is due here tomorrow or Wednesday.

Some photos taken from the scope, focused on some roof tops about 100 yards away, the scope has 20x eyepiece fitted.

The slant on the photos is because I hadn't bothered to straighten up the tripod, too busy fighting with electric string, damned fiddly USBS and specs.

A jury rig no doubt and a bespoke fitting will be better, I wouldn't want this set up to be beside me when my Brown Bess was letting go for example as I could envisage the various component parts all going in different directions. At least it proves the feasibility of the parts I have, no doubt the tablet will be another kettle of fish.

That's looking good Adam. When you get your tablet you will need to download:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .usbcamera

It's free :). You will then be able to expand the picture to fill the whole screen and get rid of the ring round the outside.

These eyepieces seem to be all different but I guess there is some sort of standard.

Can any one interested post the size of their eyepiece - just a gentle fit in mm's please.

I have:
Small Bresser 20-50x50......35.7
Large Bresser 25-75x90......37.6
Compact Nippon 15-54x50..40.5

I've just printed a Trifid sized eyepiece with a bit of adjustment - it looks huge at 50mm

My Opticron IS50 measures 39.7mm on the outside of the rubber eyepiece.
(... and I'd be interested in an adaptor)

If you are looking for bigger market then this would be ideal for the Tooters!
