Uberti 1873 .357 Short Rifle
Managed to secure one after some searching - 20" Octagonal Barrel.
Stocked up on both 38 Special and 357 Mag to have a decent run out and ascertain what suits best when I hit the range this evening.

There is one simple rule on this thread; “No picture, no gun!”

I’m afraid until there’s a picture of it, it doesn’t exist as far as the forum is concerned....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Well - managed to get some Pics sorted of latest addition

Very much enjoying it at different distances. The quality is superb and the Octagonal Barrel really makes it a delight to look at. Found it handles very well indeed and devours 357 !

Nice rifle! I had a .357 Special Sporting (24” octagonal, pistol grip stock) and it was lovely. 300m, full house magnums, great fun all day long!

Gorgeous Uberti - I have had one for just over two years now and still love looking at it, never mind shooting it!!

I just picked up a S & W M&P 15-22 Sport (the only AR15 we can now own). I had a heck of a time finding one - seems everybody has the same ideas since the gun-ban. I think I got the very last one in NZ. Next shipment probably won't arrive until 2020. Annoyingly, chores and the weather precluded me from trying it out this weekend. Exceedingly frustrating!

Looks like its a Competition model...with the 'shotgun' style stock, brass bead front sight and the shorter stroke lever action...??

Call me a traditionalist - its the standard Short 20" Octagonal and un-slicked version. Just my bad photography !
Still makes me smile to even look at it let alone get using it !

I've just bought a new CZ 457 MTR. Unfortunately, there's going to be a +/- 12 week wait for it to arrive, but I have enough noise makers to keep me amused until I get 'the' phone call. :D

Piccies will follow asap! shakeshout
