Can someone let me know the best and easiest way to post pictures on the forum?

I have a flickr account if that helps?

Easiest way is to browse for the file on your PC, then add the file to the forum, then submit the post.

S'easy.

Picture has to be tiny in terms of Kbs to upload directly to FB...I use photobucket and click image on here and copy in direct link between img syntax.

The problem with Flickr is the HTML link they give you shows everyone where you link from with access to all of your pictures, this means you need to do some careful editing, as an example:

If you take the link from the address bar you get the page:
If you take the link from the 'Grab HTLM code' it tags it with the users name and details:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenbocchino/5410306734/" title="32/365 - 2/1/2011 - Title: Snowmageddon - Location: Chicago by KenBocchino, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4143/5410306734_bf6992f247.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="32/365 - 2/1/2011 - Title: Snowmageddon - Location: Chicago" /></a>
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4143/541 ... 92f247.jpg

But if you take the bit I have highlighted in red above then the image you post is anonymous as such, I set the permissions for my Flickr to public but trim my links as above.

Yes it works from my flickr which is secured to friends and family...;)

The code ovenpaa specifies needs to be pasted between IMG syntax brackets, of course.

BTW...

Individual file size from your pc to the forum cannot exceed 3.5 mB and only 3 in the same post.

Of course if you can remote link to a site such as flickr then the better for the forum. The smaller we are the further away is the day when we have to go to the dreaded dedicated hosting = more money.
