Plastic Wad 12 Gauge Lead Shot.

#1 Post by Paul-Andrzej »

After a couple of years of not shooting clays or anything else I am about to get back into it and am finding that for "environmental" reasons, cartridges now need to be fibre or felt wad at the grounds I used to use.

I have accumulated a couple of thousand plastic wad for various reasons over the years and am wondering what to do with them.

Apart from the obvious "where it hurts" does anyone have any suggestions, please? I am not into reloading...

Take them to your local grounds when you go shooting and try to sniff out some people that go shooting further afield and sell them on, there's still plenty of places that allow plastic wads.

That's what I'd do - maybe leave a note on your windscreen, providing your ground doesn't sell cartridges.

Thanks. I will sort out and list exactly what I have got and place on this Forum. Sporting Targets in Riseley Beds still accept plastic.
