RDC wrote:The shadow mental health Secretary was gobbing off on the BBC at the weekend about how ineffective the government is about coronavirus response and PPE. How they were doing all the wrong things (despite there being a global extraordinary demand), etc. When she was asked what Labour would do, she said it was nothing to do with Labour and it wasn't a question about what Labour would do. She didn't want it to be political!
Sir Ian Boyd, the chief scientific adviser to Defra between 2012 and 2019 , told the Guardian it was difficult to get ministers to spend money on preparing for high-impact, low-frequency events like pandemics. “Governments over the years have buried their heads, and it is harder to have those conversations with people who have a small-government view of the world,” he said.

TRG-22 in response to your footer, also, how many people has socialism killed - millions!

The only way the current situation could have been any worse would have been if Labour had been in government!

The ideology hasn't.

The only way the current situation could have been any worse would have been if Labour had been in government!
A breathtakingly untrue statement, which you make in pure speculative mode.

Whereas what the Tories have done to state spending is far from speculation.

Again, in this one the terrorist is on the left:

In this one, the sympathiser can be seen warmly greeting a man who spent 26 years in prison for terrorism.

Runs in the family, it seems:

But then he is quite a popular terrorist.

5 terrorist sympathisers here, it would seem.

A couple more, in these the terrorist is the one on the right

And if you do that, be sure to take care to differentiate between bias, and lies.

Yes, you may well claim that The Guardian has a bias, but I'm not aware of it ever printing actual lies.

I would not trust the Labour party to run a bath!

If Labour were ever in government, I am sure that they would bankrupt the country, just as they did last time (do you not recall the infamous note "there is no money left") and every other time they have been in power. And they would have done with Corbyn's communist policies; the thought of a Labour government terrifies me (I hope that I never see a Labour government again). They are not the party of the working person, they want to steal everything you have worked for!

As for Tony (smarmy) Blair, he should be charged with war crimes.

There's a big difference, as far as i'm concerned anyway, between having to deal with loathsome individuals in normal political arenas, and singing the praise of people your country is at war with at that time. 8-)

I'm sure you wouldn't, but that's because you've chosen to believe a crock of misinformation from a bunch of misinforming newspapers.
If Labour were ever in government, I am sure that they would bankrupt the country, just as they did last time
Do you mean when they stepped in to rescue banks which were on the verge of collapse because of their stupid and greedy unfettered capitalist excesses, rather than let the entire economy crash?

Would you rather they had done nothing and stand by watching as the country fell, not into recession, but a massive depression to rival that of the 1920s?

It will do no good, will it (apart from amusing me), to point out that the Tory opposition at the time supported what the government did.

(do you not recall the infamous note "there is no money left")
Oh bless - look everybody, there's a man here who doesn't know that that was a joke, that it is not unknown for officials to leave notes for incoming replacements.

Strange, isnt it (actually, not it's not at all strange, given your rabid bias), that you don't complain about Reginald Maudling (a Conservative chancellor) leaving a note for his Labour successor saying "Good luck, old cock ... Sorry to leave it in such a mess."

and every other time they have been in power.
Ah, ignorance and untruths - the gift that keep on giving.

Please produce figures (real, accurate, truthful ones I mean, not the products of your febrile imagination) which show that you're right.

And they would have done with Corbyn's communist policies;
Communist? Really? Did we really need any more proof of your lack of understanding?

the thought of a Labour government terrifies me
Plan B - stop swallowing the fear-mongering of our right-wing gutter press.

(I hope that I never see a Labour government again).
When are you planning on dying?

They are not the party of the working person, they want to steal everything you have worked for!
Is there any point in asking you to actually prove that?

As for Tony (smarmy) Blair, he should be charged with war crimes.
See - you can get some things right when you try.

Before you just lifted that wholesale from that vicious blog roll of scuttlebutt and tittle tattle, did you bother to see how much of it was fair and honest reporting?

Bear in mind that the guy responsible for it is a convicted criminal.
