1861 Musketoon

#1 Post by jimbo303 »

Managed to secure a very good early Parker Hale example of an 1861 "Musketoon" after much searching.

First trip out with it this weekend and what an absolute pleasure it is !

ah brilliant! I had mine up for sale for over a year and never got any interest. It is currently sat in my local RFD collecting dust. I even dropped it to £100 in the end to try and shift it before RFD'ing it. Absolutely brilliant to shoot with a full charge! Enjoy

James

They are huge fun - working on Standard Service Load but will work up....

I had been looking for a while - having tried out a friends. My hunt took a while to get one that was right. Holt's had one in their last auction which went for a strong price when accounting for fees etc. I know our Colonial Cousins are very keen on them so maybe thats where a few end up from the UK....

Suitably preapred now with Jag, Nipple Key and Sizing Die form Charles H. and absolutley loving the experience.
