58/577 licensing query

#1 Post by James84 »

Hi all,

Hopefully this is a stupid question... So I've just put in a variation to enable me to buy a Parker Hale '1861' and have requested a .58 slot. Should I have requested a .577 slot or will a dealer/seller 'round up' and classify a .577 as a .58?

If it'll be an issue I will ask the licensing bods to adjust via email.

Ta,

James

Depends.

Best to seek clarification from your certification department as to what they will allow, they have given you the authority and if they are happy for .58 to mean .577 then equipped with such a reply it should be enough for any potential seller.

Instant reply, got to love Hampshire at the moment.

They put it down as a .577/.58.

Hi James,
What club in Hampshire do you shoot at? We are having problems at the moment trying to get RCO's to obtain the black powder\muzzle loading add on to their cards. it seems that there is only one person that can pass RCO's to run military ranges for the use of muzzle loaders.
