Westlake MLR Nitro Revolver - Useful bits to have

#1 Post by nfarmer »

I have been shooting my Westlake .357 Nitro Alfa Proj Revolver for a while and have gathered some useful bits!

Range stand, easy enough to make (even by me)

Image

Anvil Conversions powder dispenser (http://www.anvilconversions.co.uk/) delivers 2.6 Grains of Herco

Image

Speedloader, top is retained by a small magnet made by Dave Clements (rclements@gmail.com)

Bullet Press The one supplied with the pistol wasn't good and a friend of mine made this bullet press for me (he also has a Westlake Alfa)

He might be prepared to make further presses> If your interested send me a PM and I will ask.

Hope these will help others!

I'm running out of Herco. Any idea where I can get some more?

Also what we need is a press that will do all six at once. If your friend could make one of those I'd be interested.
I made a thingy that pushes out the used primers all at once by mounting some ground down pop rivets on a small block of wood, it works ok but looks crap.

It's doable, but you would need a lot more handle to get the force going. might be better off with something like this

and a plate with six protrusions on, to sit over the chambers, and be pressed down to sit flush with the cylinders top face. you would also want a plate for the cylinder to sit in to locate it and protect the pins.

Are you based in the Midlands?

Last time I was in Bromsgrove Shooting Supplies I'm sure there was some on the shelf

Sorry to revive this but I picked up an Alfa from Alan at the shooting show on Sunday, where can I get the speedloaders from? Tried the email above but someone responded saying wrong email address.

Cheers

Valmont Firearms sold them as well if they can’t help let me know I could make some for you (I have a 3D printer would take me a short while as I would have to work from scratch)

Was this a pre order? If so how long was the wait?
