Could any of the experts on fhe forum identify this sferl cased ammunition, i have chance to buy 200 rds which would be for my FR8 carbine so i dont want anything over powered (machine gun fodder) or with corrosive primers, the markings on the head look a little strange as well.
Any ideas!!

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I recognize this brand. MFS = Magyar Fegyver és Lőszergyár, a Hungarian manufacturer of reasonable quality, steel cased, budget ammunition.

Yes it is marked .308" 147gr fmj but the label on the packaging says military spec so must be manufactured for slacker military chzmbers!! so i can't see any issues in my FR8, wouldn't be reloading steel cases anyhow.

I seem to recall they are manufactured with Berdan primers - so reloading would be problematic, albeit not impossible. They may also have the primers locked in place to prevent backing out under heavy use. And of course they are drab green finished.
