Quick question about length
Hi everyone
I just bought a cheap “tactical” shotgun, and I am wondering if I can put a folding stock on it.
Can anyone advise on whether this is legal for the UK? I think tha barrel has to be over 24”, but is there an overall length restriction as well!
Regards
Steve

Re: Quick question about length
Can S1 pistols be smooth bore, or do they have to be rifled?
Re: Quick question about length
Smoothbore. There’s a plethora of them in either flintlock or percussion. Shot pistols for humane dispatch still have to comply with 12/24.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

14" barrel, 26" O/L
It's a pump action so therefore must comply with 24/40 rule.

You can also own a rifled revolver with any length of barrel if it is a muzzle loader (Cap and ball) I have several examples here.Sim G wrote:Smoothbore. There’s a plethora of them in either flintlock or percussion. Shot pistols for humane dispatch still have to comply with 12/24.
Re: Quick question about length
Again I find myself asking about rules out of "academic interest" - I'm a very analytical person.
Does "muzzle loading" mean just the projectile, or does it have to be the charge as well?
