One more rifle to go. I can't get this into my new storage so it's now for sale.
This is a 3 band Snider-Enfield MK III. To the best of my knowledge it is fully matching/original and is dated 1871.
The bore is very good with one small spec near the muzzle. It has had a period repair to the trigger guard where it has taken a knock. You can see the 3 pins around the screw and the split on the right of the picture under the sling that resulted from it. It is a solid repair.
I have taken pictures of all the markings I can find and have more pictures of the markings on the bands. Email me if you want any additional images.
