EU to propose banning semi auto "weapons"

#1 Post by Hunter87 »

Another knee jerk reaction after what happened in Paris even tho the firearms used were fully automatic.

But isn't it obvious that semi-automatics can be converted to fully-automatics... **tongue in cheek**

Just goes to show that modern gun control has nothing to do with reality or safety.

I hope they ban grenades and suicide vests and while they are on also make mass murder illegal. That'll stop it happening again 8-)

Yet another good reason why I am glad I do not live in Europe.

With any luck, if the referendum vote goes the right way neither will we!

Terrorism has nothing to do with Islam, but terrorist weapons have everything to do with legitimate shooters. You've got to love their logic. ****

We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Funny old world......

Reading the proposal here: http://neurope.eu/wires/european-commis ... ss-the-eu/ and definitions here: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/ ... 31991L0477

" The proposal bans the semi-automatic weapons which are included in the current category 'B7'."

and what is category B7 you may ask?

"B7. Semi-automatic firearms for civilian use which resemble weapons with automatic mechanisms."

so if this goes through we can kiss all our .22lr semis goodbye if they don't pass the beauty parade. But if you can dress them up in a polite wooden stock they'll be ok.

FFS!

Who do we lobby to stop this nonsense? Surely there must be someone who can speak up for us?
Who? Me? Really?
