Be patient & keep your eyes open, unfortunately due to current circumstances there will be rifles up for sale, you could score a bargain.

So after a few phone calls today to dealers about M&P's the end result was I put a deposit down on a Lantac clapclap

I wasn't ignoring any of the advise. I was very close to buying the M&P however after I spoke to a few dealers, either the prices were a lot higher than expected considering they were 2nd hand, or there was no movement what so ever.

I phoned Lantac and spoke to Rob who was really helpful! He confirmed for the LA-SF15 the wait would be between 5-6 weeks subject to the proof house. All the parts are in the UK and rifles were being made as we spoke.

More than happy to wait 5-6 weeks! Gives me time to get the pennies together as well. Hopefully by then the ranges will be open shakeshout

Congratulations on your new rifle. You won't regret buying an LASF15. I love mine. I am however very jealous of the 5-6 week wait. How can you appreciate a Lantac without the obligatory 6-8 month lead time, it's just not on.

A friend of mine just bought a new AR made by North West Custom Parts - they also supply other brands.

I've seen some of their .223 straight pulls (if I'm thinking of the same company). Nice bits of kit!
