I don't think it's going to be helpful if we pre-judge new appointments.

My view is to give anyone coming in a chance to prove themselves and then make a judgement on their ability and suitability for the role.

I don't think it really matters too much if someone in this sort of job has experience of shooting, as long as they are good at listening and are interested in learning about the business they find themselves in.

It's often said that a good salesperson can sell anything, although it does help if they believe in the product or service they're selling.

I would hardly expect a warm welcome from the forum - but let's not alienate ourselves from another NRA staff member before they even get started....

This is the problem with forums, though. Quick to pass comment without emerging from behind the keyboard to face the real world.

We need to show how welcoming and open-minded we all are.

(even if we're all actually small-minded, angry, unfriendly gits)
