Adam, I have never seen on the range info for the clubs I belong to that a 12G is allowed. So I have assumed that they were not allowed. So are you saying that 12g is allowed as long as not exceeding the range fps limit ?

If so any range could offer this ?

Slug would exceed the range orders due to size, I believe, and bird shot would come back off the linotex. I reckon that SSG would be ok though.

you aren't allowed to shoot slug at BWSS matches. no.4 shot is the limit, some ranges I have been at said that 24g is the max for nitro shells.
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns

Quick update. I am having a couple of discussions with local clubs who may be able to offer a venue. Once I have more details, I would like to invite all who are interested in joining the new club for an initial meet to get the club rules and officers setup.

So will all who are really interested please PM me. I will then keep you all in the loop.

'Cowboy Action Shooting'? FGS, don't tell Mike Yardley...

Seriously though; good luck setting this up. Variety is the spice...

I recall many years ago seeing 12g used indoors with some lightweight pellets that were stopped by a cloth sheet but still knocked over a wooden target - have a word with Bob Dunkley as he ran the comp. Not sure why you want to set up a new organisation when the BWSS already has everything in place. If you have a suitable venue I am sure Alan Vickers would be more than willing to put on a demonstration.

I thought Bob Dunkley was involved in Cowboy action shooting have you not contacted him for details. Or does he not do that anymore.
