This was a stock conversion I did a few years ago , I bought the stock off of ebay , it was probably an old BRNO stock , it looked as though it had been dip stripped as the wood looked fluffy and bleached , there were plenty of dings in it and a small crack behind the action . None of which mattered to me as it was going to get chopped and painted .
I needed it to house my CZ Varmint 452 .22lr so Mrs 101 could use it on the bench when she fancied a trip to the range , as she has rather short arms it looks a bit out of proportion but it suits her well and she gets some good scores with it .
The stock as I got it .
After cutting it about and adding some blocks for reshaping .
Having finished the shaping of the wood I wanted to test it out before spending more time on it .
Well that seemed to work well for a 5 shot group .
So some filling , pillars and bedding and a paint job , with a butt plate made from a plastic kitchen chopping board .
Another stock finished .
