Range Fees

#1 Post by Gun Pimp »

My club charges £20 for visitors. This is for all day and could include shooting in a Club competition or simply sighting-in at 100 yards.
Also, we restrict visitors to four visits in any calendar year.
Can I ask what other clubs charge visitors?

We charge them £20.00. They can visit four times then need to apply for probationary membership if they want to continue.

Yes Oundle charge £20 for a visit we allow 3 visits and then you need to apply for provisional membership.

Our club run a safety brief when we get the appropriate numbers to do it (currently we have a large backlog) and the club secretary can fit it in between his other commitments so usually once a month.
The range brief show people our 25m indoor range (22lr and pistol calibre pistols/rifles) they are not permitted to shoot on the day of the safety brief. They then get 4 free visitor days before they must apply for probationary membership.
There is a minimum 6 month probationary period and if you have passed the probationary course you can then use the club as a reason to apply for your FAC.
If you have passed your small bore course you can then do the full bore at the outdoor range we use.

We have guest days on (approx) a monthly basis.
If the guests are friends/family of a member, they normally use the members guns and ammo.
For people who just "want a go", the Club offers various packages with prices from £30 to £75, which includes ammo and the use of the Club guns.
Everyone, friends/family and the bod off the street, need to fill in the Section 21 Declaration form and get it in to the Club at least a week before the Guest day.

I meant to add...

For visistors from other HOA clubs, they have to be accompanied by a full member of ITSC, and pay a range fee of 5% of the current Full Adult membership.. currently £7.
