For sale is a rare 1867 Tabatiere from a converted carabine de chasseur. The largest caliber issued to an army.
WORN condition, but mechanically sound (Half, full, dry fire, ejects) with good bore. Wood work suffered from wood worm (treated) and some reconstruction work done on the butt with sawdust & filler (its solid). Comes with inert round.
Worn overall hence the price. Tempted to put on ticket if it doesn't sell.
