Use the same as N140 and drop a couple of grains to find a starting point.

In that case, with SMK 69gn, I've 25.0gn of N140 to be outstanding...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I've been working up in .2gr increments from 22.8. Tested some loads yesterday with the gusty wind at bisley and some were sub MOA. Absolutely zero pressure signs at 24.8 so going to keep going up. I need to go to the Carlton moor tunnel again really so it's a sterile environment.

Didn't shoot a lot but my A-Bolt liked 26gr with a 55gr SMK

I'm shooting the 75grain Amax in a tikka T3 1in8 twist. I'm hoping if I can get an accurate load with the Amax I can use it right out to say 800:-)

I've clocked 3020fps with SMK 69grain bullets out of a 30" 1:8 barrel with 25 grains of TR140. PPU case, CCI 200 primer. Temperature was around 11C.

The word is that TR's a bit slow for .223, but I haven't found that.

25ish grains of TR140 has worked well for me as well, my view is the load would need to be quite compressed before the safe pressure limits were reached.
