Have had quite a few questions recently relating to importing parts from the US and self building an AR so here is a re-post of my build with some additional pictures/video and testing of the finished rifle for anyone who is interested:

HOW did you get LaRue to export?
You could get them to ship to your FFL in the US then export on your DSP83 with your other parts.

Much trouble getting a barrel with no gas hole?

I see you checking headspace, but not chamber cutting.
Was this already done?

Yes, much trouble. The majority of US barrel makers I contacted weren't interested in taking one off the line before it was ported even though it meant less work for them. Krieger were one of the very few I found who were happy to do this. I did try UK makers eg. Border, but they said they only supply blanks. I needed a drop in barrel ready to go.
