Suggest you leave today if you are going tomorrow 2 mile traffic queue to get in. Not a happy teddy bear

Me neither, gave up after moving one mile in an hour and a quarter, then realising I was at least a couple of miles from the entrance at mid-day.

Black mark for the organisers.
Careful now/that sort of thing

Just got back and I am knackered... I expect much like all the other day trippers, I queued for 2 hours (10am-12pm) in the car trying to get in to the grounds, having been turned away from 1 full car park and in the end I parked on the side of the road and walked a mile to the show. So much for preferential parking with an advanced ticket! The show was good but heaving in hall 1 when I first got there, virtually gridlocked, so for anyone going tomorrow I suggest you look around hall 1 on your way back out.

As someone who's still waiting for their FAC, I'm glad I went it was a good opportunity to look at the Dolphin Gun Company's, AICS and Desert Tactical Arms's stock. The Lynx Rifles Lynx 94's were interesting, I hadn't come across them before. They look beautiful assuming you like MG42 style charging handles on your rifles, but I have to say I was surprised at the price.

It snowed a bit driving in, but it had melted by the time I left. Sorry I didn't get a chance to hunt anyone out, it was just a flying visit this year.

Just got back. We luckily went early and was there for opening time. The first few hours weren't that bad, but by mid morning it was rammed and almost impossible to see the stalls for the crowds of people. I think the venue could have been twice as big and still have seemed busy. If you're going tomorrow GO EARLY! and go straight to the stalls you want to shop at, don't do what we did and bimble about looking at stuff not realizing how busy it was getting until it was too late.

Does anyone know what happened with the parking today? The fields had loads of spaces, but the security guards were holding the gates closed not letting anyone in. Very frustrating. I did ask a security guard what happened and he just said there was a misunderstanding, I wonder if he meant they forgot to open the gates... Was it run by G4S?

Where we parked quickly turned into a sea of mud, the grass was being destroyed so maybe they stopped using the grass areas for parking? I did wonder why people were parking along the roadsides and not on the grass.

I'm not sure, but the fields near gate 3 were mostly empty when I walked in and had cars in them when I walked out, plus the gate was left open, so I don't know. You're right about the mud though, I got plastered!

Perhaps it needs to move again, NEC perhaps

Just got home. After the fiasco with getting in to those going tomorrow I offer the following suggestion. When you leave the A46 the signs say turn left ( there are some cones in the centre of the road at the turn). Ignore this and go straight on to the roundabout and take first exit. Go straight on to the next round about and turn left again. The main entrance is on the left.

I followed the AA signs today and queued for an hour and a half. I followed the traffic and went all round the block to the main entranced mentioned above. Perhaps the AA man putting out the signs was lost.

Once I did get in I enjoyed the show
