I have two or three of these slings, all new. Not sure if they all have the marking (whatever it means!). £25 each shipped. Replies by PM please

MRT = Mildew Resistant Treatment

Military issue M1907 slings will have MRT and the treatment date on them.

Many thanks - had these for years and often wondered.

...or not wallhead

I've been making M1907 slings for years, and have several dozen original US Issue M1907 slings in my small collection.
I ONLY ever see leather kit with "M.R.T." markings on, when said item is a Chinese/Indian made copy - it seems to be a bit of "added authenticity" smoke & mirrors type marketing (from the MAKERS - not the OP on here!) to make items seem like something they're not, akin to the all the Chinese made "British Army Golock" machetes, sold in SA80 frogs, that are a couple of inches shorter than the Genuine NATO marked/British Issue Martindale Golock's.

"M.R.T." markings ARE common on cotton canvas items, but usually also have a date stamp added as part of the marking - to show date that the item was treated.
