Service Rifle No. 3, Pattern 1914 (Winchester) in .303

#1 Post by lapua338 »

Manufactured sometime between May and December 1916 by Winchester (according to Highwood Classic Arms).

A very nice condition original rifle in good order that has not been arsenal refurbished. Retains the original long range volley sights.

Mauser-style action with 5-shot internal magazine. The bore is excellent with sharp rifling.

Offered for sale at £500.

In the last three years I've shot only 250 rounds through this gun (100 x PPU and 150 handloads).

450 x Sellier & Bellot 7.92/.311 11.7g/180gr FMJ (# No. 2909) also for sale.

Let down again so still for sale!

Original and in good order.

I'm no longer interested in service rifle and need the space.

Weekend bump!

Great condition for the age. Standard specification in .303 for British service. The bore is excellent and a very usable rifle.
