Greener GP MkII

#1 Post by Dave 101 »

For sale Greener GP MkII 12 bore , not sure what the choke it is , 3/4 I think , I bought this several years ago because it was a Martini action , but have only fired 50 or so rounds in it , a lovely shotgun in near mint condition .
These were manufactured in the late 1970s this one has had very little use the bore is perfect , I don't get any use of it these days so its time move it on to someone who will .
Barrel length 27 1/4" . sling swivels fitted . Section2 shotgun certificate required .

Barrel off
Hacksaw
File flat
...wish you'd marked the 24" min. first
PANIC

Saw one of these some time back at Bisley
It had a 30" full choke barrel, and a 24" rifle sighted barrel
Price was a bargain too!

Ended up with one of the Greener Police models for a while

You can fire slugs in a choked barrel , but the chamber on this is not long enough for slug cartridges .

I was reading somewhere that slugs could be fired with 3/4 choke if you're using the sabot kind as the sabot should just deform

Dave
Chamber marking in the photos says 2 3/4"

Should be ok, I'd have thought

I'd have been tempted to add rifle sights - make an excellent Target Shotgun

I had some slugs once and they were 3" I didn't realise you could get shorter slug cartridges .
